National Cancer Survivors Day (June 3)

National Cancer Survivors Day® is an annual, treasured Celebration of Life that is held in hundreds of communities nationwide, and around the world, on the first Sunday in June. It is a CELEBRATION for those who have survived, an INSPIRATION for those recently diagnosed, a gathering of SUPPORT for families, and an OUTREACH to the community.

Our invitation to You!

Our church family and community and surrounding greater Northwest Indiana are invited and encouraged to participate in this exciting day.  In addition to a large worship service and meal, one of the main events of this day will be an awareness walk.  T-shirts are available for $10 each.  Our desire is to have a large presence in our neighborhood for this walk.  Plan now to attend and order your t-shirt today.  The celebration is family-friendly.  Wear your Hope Center t-shirt and your favorite walking shoes.  We invite you to decorate a wagon or stroller and bring a home-made sign to honor survivors.

What is NCSD?

National Cancer Survivors Day® is a day for everyone, whether you’re a cancer survivor, a family member, friend, or medical professional. This day provides an opportunity for all people living with a history of cancer to connect with each other, celebrate milestones, and recognize those who have supported them along the way.

On National Cancer Survivors Day®, we’ll gather to honor cancer survivors and to show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be fruitful, rewarding, and even inspiring.

Come for the entire event, the walk, the corporate worship service & celebration of life, or lunch—-whatever your schedule permits. We look forward to celebrating with you!
